These are the 7 different types of grapefruits:

Pomelos are the “parent” of all other grapefruit varieties. That is to say, all other grapefruit is a hybrid of the pomelo. They taste similar to other grapefruits but much sweeter.

Melogold grapefruit are a cross between a white grapefruit and a pomelo. It has pale yellow flesh and a sweet-tart flavor.

White Grapefruit

The white grapefruit is a cross between a pummelo and a sweet orange. The juice is sweet with slight hints of bitter and sour flavors.

Flame Grapefruit

Flame grapefruit are medium-sized fruit that is reddish on the outside, and extremely red on the inside. It is a very juicy grapefruit, with a rich and tasty flavor. It has few or no seeds.

These types of grapefruits are pinkish (almost red but not quite) on the inside. They produce a sweet-sour taste. The fruit can be eaten as is or used to make juice.
